May 2009
So it was a crazy month. I spent the first week of May in California. My Sister Debi was in the hospital. It was very, very scary the first; she had a hard time breathing. While I was there she also had three surgeries. One to put a stint in one of her arteries, and the other two were for catheters for her dialysis. I took care of her dog Sparky. I could tell she was getting better when she was fixing me up with one of her care givers. He was the one that fitted her foot for an orthopedic "boot". I did end up meeting him for ice cream and a walk around downtown Fullerton. Ironically, while walking I tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and sprained my foot. It still hurts.
The other crazy thing about the month, other than the usual craziness, is that Cailey had tried out and made cheerleader. I baked her a pretty cake. The very next week she tried out for volleyball and mad that as well. Of course, all at the same time that softball had started. I would drive Cailey to cheer practice at 7:00 am. Afterschool she had volleyball practices and games followed by softball practice or games. The only good thing is that they all ended about the same time as well. She has a softball tournament this Wednesday, but then it's over.
